Lane is an Insolvency Practitioner licensed to carry on work in the UK by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales. He is also a fellow of the Insolvency Practitioners Association and the Association of Business Recovery Professionals. He is bound by the Insolvency Code of Ethics.

After graduating in 1985, he trained as a Chartered Accountant and qualified in 1990. By that time, he had begun to specialise in insolvency work having decided to follow a new career path.  He went on to qualify as a licensed insolvency practitioner and established himself as an appointment-taker at the insolvency firm he was then with.  Since 2011, Lane has been with CMB Partners and is the co-director of the practice, alongside Demetri.

Lane is a highly regarded insolvency practitioner with a wealth of experience gained over the years in the industry. This includes all types of insolvency appointments in a plethora of different sectors. His specialties include Liquidations, Administration, Personal Insolvency, Voluntary Arrangements, Receiverships and Corporate Restructuring.  He has also lectured on behalf of the insolvency industry’s professional body, the Association of Business Recovery Professionals (or R3) and co-hosts ns North London CPE which puts on professional training presentations for insolvency professionals.

Outside of work, Lane is a keen F1 enthusiast, motorcyclist, football fan and boxing fan. He has been the chair of a number of charities and is currently the chair of Habaid (www.habaid.org), a charitable foundation formed in 1962 to help children in need.
